Lucky Draw:
As our ethos is around Experiences, we don’t do prizes for placings however a lucky draw with some great prizes will take place after the run so everyone has a chance!
Timing
Runners are required to record their individual time using their own devices. Once you cross the finish line, please submit your wrist band with your timing into the bucket for our virtual lucky draw. Timings will be emailed to runners the following day for Discovery Vitality Point submissions.
General Information Venue
Bringing the Cape Town ocean to Jozi! May’s trail run takes us back to one of our favourites, Glen Afric Country Lodge. A magnificent playground of 720 hectares with endless trails across the valley & spectacular wildlife including the magnificent elephants. Participants will receive a unique oyster shooter at the finish line with a branded shooter glass as your medal. After the trail, runners can look forward to an optional oyster & champagne feast (promo to be confirmed, pls watch our FB page for more info)

Only runners are allowed on the day, no friends / family or spectators at the current time please
Mask or buff is compulsory at start / finish
All runners will pass by a sanitisation station & screening. For anyone registering a temperature above 37.5 degrees will not be allowed to enter or partake
Social distancing rules will apply at the water points as well as covid protocols
Walking / Hiking is allowed on the 6km route
Due to the timing of game rangers in the reserve, there is a strict cut off time is 2h30 hours, if we see any runners might not make it, please note we may need to reroute you
Due to the nature of the event and the spectacular wildlife in the reserve including some magnificent elephant, we don’t recommend prams.
Water points will be available at several points on the run
General Information
There will be a hearty runners buffet breakfast option at Glen Afric Lodge after the event for those who wish to enjoy a relaxed morning in the country & watch the elephants come by on their morning walk. A true Wild Africa Experience
Route – Wild Africa Experiences have rated the 6km & 12km routes a 3/5 while the 17km has been rated a 4/5 (5 been the most difficult)

Your safety is our number one concern. Whilst so much has changed, some things will thankfully still stay the same. We will continue with our exclusive & intimate trail runs in some hidden away valley and runners can be rest assured that your safety remains our absolute priority. Extensive COVID protocols have been implemented for the safety of both runners and staff alike. Please note that this is not an event as our Wild Africa Experiences followers know it. The number of runners will be limited (as per our norm) but face masks, sanitizers and distance controls will be enforced.
