Get ready to sparkle! On Sunday, 19th April 2026, we’re bringing the sophisticated soul of the Cape coast to the heart of the Cradle. This is where high-end luxury meets the wild trail, creating an unforgettable morning of “sweat and sunset” vibes, even if it’s breakfast time!

General Information: Time to Escape & prepare to be thoroughly spoilt. Nestled at the majestic foothills of the Zwartkops Mountains within the iconic Cradle of Humankind, this venue is a masterclass in natural beauty & refined comfort. Overlooking six shimmering fly-fishing dams, the lodge sits at the edge of the Blaauwbank Spruit as it carves its way through the pristine Zwartkops Gorge. Whether you’re on the move or relaxing at the lodge, the backdrop of meandering water and dramatic cliffs is nothing short of spectacular.
Distances & Entry Fees: Whether you’re sprinting for the finish or strolling for the bubbles, we have a route for every pace. (Walkers and hikers, we love having you on the 5km and 10km!)
15km – R370 pp, 07:00. A diverse, rugged push for the bold.
10km – R350 pp, 07:10 / 07:20. The perfect balance of burn and beauty.
5km – R330 pp, 07:30 / 07:40 / 07:50. A shorter, breathtaking scenic loop.
Entry Includes: Finisher Medal (a branded collector’s champagne flute glass) followed by a complimentary bubbly tasting featuring a selection of premier vineyards. Chill zone with live music on the lawns, spectacular restaurant(s) overlooking the dramatic gorge & fly-fishing dams, fully stocked water-points, exclusive access to well-marked trails, trail fees, on-site medical support, professional photographer and a true Wild Africa Vibe (an authentic, intimate adventure through the heart of the Zwartkops gorge!) The Post-Trail Celebration: The finish line is just the beginning of your Sunday session! Once you’ve conquered the gorge, kick back and enjoy The Oyster Feast (Optional Extra). Timing: Record your time on your own device and drop your wristband in the bucket for the Lucky Draw. Timings will be published online for your Discovery Vitality submissions.

There will be No Refunds due to rain or lightning cancellation
No licence is necessary to take part in the run
Minimum age of 18 years to partake in any of the wine tasting activities
All athletes participate at their own risk

Refreshments table available at various points including water / coke
Late entries on the day will be charged an additional R30 per person (subject to availability should the event not be sold out…)
Other Information: Tea/Coffee will be available before the run and there will be an optional runners breakfast available at Kloofzicht Lodge & Spa after the trail. Alternatively, please feel free to contact the Lodge directly should you wish to book the luxurious buffet breakfast at the Lodge or try the fabulous Oevermeer Bistro with their equally spectacular views.

Your safety is our number one concern. Whilst so much has changed, some things will thankfully still stay the same. We will continue with our exclusive & intimate trail runs in some hidden away valley and runners can be rest assured that your safety remains our absolute priority.
Withdrawal, Substitutions, Roll-overs:
All entry fees for the Event are non-refundable / non-transferable under all circumstances permitted by law, including, but not limited to, cancellation of the Event for any reason including withdrawal of your participation in the Event, or change in the date, nature, or format of the Event.
7 days and more prior to the event, refunds or roll-overs are permissible at the sole discretion of the organizer and based on medical grounds only. For refunds, an administration fee of 25% will be applicable. Alternatively, roll overs are valid for a maximum of 3 months with a maximum of one date change. If the participant does not, for any reason utilize the entry within 3 months, their entry will no longer be valid nor refunded.
0-6 days prior to the event, NO refunds or roll-overs are allowed, however substitutions are permissible at any time leading up to the event. Kindly ensure you email us on explore@wildafricaexperiences.co.za in order to assist further.
You acknowledge that the Event may be cancelled or changed due to government directives, severe weather or any other factors that may be considered to threaten the safety of participants as determined by the Event organiser in its sole discretion. We have always strived to deliver on each & every event but due to the nature of our activities, some natural elements are out of our hands. Unfortunately, there is a no refund policy on bookings due to rain or lightening.
