Running for a Greater Purpose: This year, we’re doing things a little differently to maximise our impact for 3 Animal Welfare Societies (including HAWS) who are in dire need.

The Medal: In the spirit of reallocation, you’ll receive a “legacy” medal from a previous Wild Africa Trail. Why? Because we’ve redirected every cent of the medal funds directly to the animals!

The Blanket Quest: Our motto is simple: Arrive in your blanket, but leave it behind. We’re collecting blankets, pallets, and food to keep paws off the cold floors this winter.

The Auction: At 10:00 AM sharp, join us for a lucky draw and an exciting auction to raise much-needed cash for the selected Animal Societies.

Cash Contributions: We welcome any online donations (either on the day or at the time of booking) which will be handed over in full to the selected Animal Welfares.

The Experience: Expect a true Wild African Experience from start to finish:

Chill Zone: Warm up by the bonfires with live music.

Post-Run Bliss: A finisher medal and a complimentary Glühwein (or hot chocolate) await!

Food & Drink: Pop-up foodie stall, craft beer pop up bar, and a coffee / tea station on-site. Grab a mate & bring those picnic blankets along.

Pristine Trails: Exclusive access to rivers, forests, and rocky outcrops in one of SA’s most exquisite settings.

Registration: Opens from 07:00am. First briefing at 07h50 sharp for A Batch.

Lucky Draw & Auction: No podium pressure here! Our lucky draw ensures everyone has a chance to win incredible experience-based prizes. This will take place after the trail at 10am sharp so everyone has a chance. This will be followed by a fabulous Auction in order to raise further funds for Animal Welfare.

Timing: Runners are required to record their individual time using their own devices if required. Once you cross the finish line please drop your wrist band into the bucket for our virtual lucky draw and write your timing down at the timing zone if needed for points.  Timings will be published on our website in the week for Discovery Vitality Point submissions etc
