Entry Includes : Finisher Medal (a branded beer glass followed by a complimentary Ale after the trail), chill zone in the Boma in the heart of the Lion & Safari Park along with a pop-up food stall, fully stocked water points, exclusive access to well-marked trails, trail fees, game rangers on route, medical support, pop up Decathlon store and a true Wild Africa Experience!
Start Time / Batches:
A maximum of 30 pax will depart every 10 min
06h00 / 06h10 20km batch
06h20 / 06h30 15km batch
06h40 / 06h50 8km batch
07h00 / 07h10 5km batch
Numbers are strictly limited due to the impact on the park & covid regulations will apply
Registration: 30 minutes prior to batch start beginning from 5:00am (First briefing at 05h50 sharp)
Lucky Draw: As our ethos is around Experiences, we don’t do prizes for placings however a lucky draw with some great prizes will take place after the run so everyone has a chance!
Timing: Runners are required to record their individual time using their own devices. Once you cross the finish line, please submit your wrist band with your timing into the bowl for our virtual lucky draw. Timings will be emailed to runners the following day for Discovery Vitality Point submissions.
General Information Venue:
This is a majestic venue located on the banks of the Crocodile River & right on your door-step. It’s a privately-owned game reserve so you get to explore over 1000-hectares of wilderness.
Route – as there are no extreme climbs or immensely difficult terrain, Wild Africa Experiences have rated the route a 3.5/5 (5 been the most difficult)
Participants will receive a branded crystal beer glass as your medal at the finish line with a well deserved ice-cold complimentary craft beer on us (only for runners 18 years & older)
Take Note:
Only runners are allowed on the day, no friends / family or spectators at the current time please
Mask or buff is compulsory at start / finish
All runners will pass by a sanitisation station & screening. For anyone registering a temperature above 37.5 degrees will not be allowed to enter or partake
Social distancing rules will apply at the water points as well as covid protocols
Walking / hiking is allowed on the 5km route
*** Please note that due to the nature of the venue & the game rangers on site, there is a strict cut off time of 2h30 hours.

Your safety is our number one concern. Whilst so much has changed, some things will thankfully still stay the same. We will continue with our exclusive & intimate trail runs in some hidden away valley and runners can be rest assured that your safety remains our absolute priority. Extensive COVID protocols have been implemented for the safety of both runners and staff alike. Please note that this is not an event as our Wild Africa Experiences followers know it. The number of runners will be limited (as per our norm) but face masks, sanitizers and distance controls will be enforced.
Withdrawal, Substitution, Roll-overs:
Refunds are permissible, based on medical grounds only up to 2 weeks prior to the event. An administration fee of 10% will be applicable.
Roll-overs are permissible, based on medical grounds only, up to 1 week prior to the event. Roll overs are valid for 3 months. If the participant does not for any reason, utilise the entry within 3 months, their entry will no longer be valid or refunded.
Substitutions are permissible. Please email details to bookings@wildafricaexperiences.co.za including order number / name / surname / email address & emergency contact of substitute runner. We will gladly amend.
