Hike, Bike or Run for the Biosphere.
Walk, trail run or mountain bike fabulous routes of various distances and skill levels at Summerplace Game Reserve on the weekend of 17 – 19 May 2024. Trails traverse a myriad of landscapes and scenery, offering participants the opportunity to run, bike or hike alongside a myriad of animals and birdlife – truly immersed in nature. Whatever your skill or desire, there is a trail for you! Reserved exclusively for the Bundu Bash, Summerplace Game Reserve offers participants world-class accommodation of various types, with mouthwatering meals and several “watering holes”. Limited to 168 people only, book soonest to avoid missing the bushveld event of the year!

The Event Experience is comprised of three accommodation options
Rhino Row (Luxury Category) = R6750 p/p sharing / R7500 p/p single
Pangolin Pads (Mid Range) = R5250 p/p sharing / R6000 p/p single
Dassie Digs (Budget Category) = R2800 p/p camping (bring your own camping gear)
Add-on nights available at a special participants rate of R700 p/p, dinner @R250 and breakfast @R140.

All of the above options INCLUDE:
- Venue exclusivity and trail access for the entire event.
- Two nights’ accommodation (Friday 17 and Saturday 18 May 2024).
- All meals including breakfast, two dinners including a spit braai on the Saturday night, lunch on the Saturday and brunch on the Sunday.
- Bespoke Ginologist mixology experience on Friday 17 May and a masterclass experience on Saturday 18 May, with a sundowner harvest table feast on both nights.

Jagveld Brouery en Taphuis
Jagveld Brouery lies in the heart of the Waterberg Biosphere in the little town of Vaalwater. Here, fragrant and delicious beers are brewed from local ingredients and served in a traditional “taphuis” (brewery) atmosphere with excellent food, and terrific company. Jagveld is proud of its heritage and home in the beautiful Waterberg and aims to provide patrons with not only a unique location to enjoy, but a true taste of the Bushveld!
Timing: Runners are required to record their individual time using their own devices if required. Once you cross the finish line please drop your wrist band into the bucket for our virtual lucky draw and write your timing down at the timing zone if needed for points. Timings will be published on our website in the week for the likes of Discovery Vitality Point submissions

There will be No Refunds due to rain or lightning cancellation
No licence is necessary to take part in the run / cycle or hike
All athletes participate at their own risk

Your safety is our number one concern. Whilst so much has changed, some things will thankfully still stay the same. We will continue with our exclusive & intimate trail runs in some hidden away valley and runners can be rest assured that your safety remains our absolute priority.
Withdrawal, Substitutions, Roll-overs:
All entry fees for the Event are non-refundable / non-transferable under all circumstances permitted by law, including, but not limited to, cancellation of the Event for any reason including withdrawal of your participation in the Event, or change in the date, nature, or format of the Event.
7 days and more prior to the event, refunds or roll-overs are permissible at the sole discretion of the organizer and based on medical grounds only. For refunds, an administration fee of 25% will be applicable. Alternatively, roll overs are valid for a maximum of 3 months with a maximum of one date change. If the participant does not, for any reason utilize the entry within 3 months, their entry will no longer be valid nor refunded.
0-6 days prior to the event, NO refunds or roll-overs are allowed, however substitutions are permissible at any time leading up to the event. Kindly ensure you email us on explore@wildafricaexperiences.co.za in order to assist further.
You acknowledge that the Event may be cancelled or changed due to government directives, severe weather or any other factors that may be considered to threaten the safety of participants as determined by the Event organiser in its sole discretion. We have always strived to deliver on each & every event but due to the nature of our activities, some natural elements are out of our hands. Unfortunately, there is a no refund policy on bookings due to rain or lightening.
