BUBBLES & OYSTER Trail – shucking good fun

Exclusive Trail Running in a Private Nature Reserve. Limited to 300 Entries.

15km – R260 pp
10km – R260 pp
5km – R250 pp
Children under 12 years – R150 pp
Entry Includes: Finisher Medal (a truly unique oyster shooter at the finish line with a branded shooter glass); chill zone on the lawns, spectacular restaurant overlooking the gorge, fully stocked waterpoints, exclusive access to well-marked trails, trail fees, medical support, pop up Decathlon store and a true Wild African Experience! After the trail, runners can also look forward to an optional oyster and/or champagne feast.
Start Time / Batches:
A maximum of 50 pax will depart every 10 min

Numbers are strictly limited & covid regulations will apply
Registration: 30 minutes prior to batch start, open from 6:00am (First briefing at 06h50 sharp)
Late Entries: Late entries on the day will be charged an additional R30 per person
Lucky Draw: As our ethos is around Experiences, we don’t do prizes for placings however a lucky draw with some great prizes will take place after the run so everyone has a chance!
Timing: Runners are required to record their individual time using their own devices. Once you cross the finish line, please submit your wrist band with your timing into the bucket for our virtual lucky draw. Timings will be emailed to runners the following day for Discovery Vitality Point submissions.
General Information Venue:
Bringing the Cape Town ocean to Jozi! This fabulously luxurious venue has abundant wildlife, beautiful settings across the dam, meandering trails and a stunning lodge facility so expect to be spoilt. The routes will be a combination of riverbank, gorges, a bit of a hill of course & quite a few open tracks across the plains for those wanting to stretch their legs. Kloofzicht Lodge & Spa is a spectacular venue & lends itself to a perfect morning of trail running in the country followed by some relaxation on the lawns, at the pool or at the bistro. Participants will receive a unique oyster shooter at the finish line with a branded shooter glass as your medal. After the trail, you can look forward to an optional oyster & champagne feast to further ignite the senses.
Route: Wild Africa Experiences have rated the Trail a 3.5/5 (5 been the most difficult)
Take Note:
Only runners are allowed on the day, no friends / family or spectators at the current time please
Mask or buff is compulsory at start / finish
All runners will pass by a sanitisation station & screening. For anyone registering a temperature above 37.5 degrees will not be allowed to enter or partake
Social distancing rules will apply at the water points as well as covid protocols
Walking / Hiking is allowed
General Information:
There will be a light runners breakfast option available at Kloofzicht. Alternatively please feel free to contact the Lodge should you wish to book the luxurious buffet breakfast at the Lodge or try the fabulous Oevermeer Bistro with their equally spectacular views.

Your safety is our number one concern. Whilst so much has changed, some things will thankfully still stay the same. We will continue with our exclusive & intimate trail runs in some hidden away valley and runners can be rest assured that your safety remains our absolute priority. Extensive COVID protocols have been implemented for the safety of both runners and staff alike. Please note that this is not an event as our Wild Africa Experiences followers know it. The number of runners will be limited (as per our norm) but face masks, sanitizers and distance controls will be enforced.
Withdrawal, Substitutions, Roll-overs:
Refunds are permissible, based on medical grounds only, up to 2 weeks prior to the event. An administration fee of 10% will be applicable.
Roll-overs are permissible, based on medical grounds only, up to 1 week prior to the event. Roll overs are valid for 3 months. If the participant does not, for any reason utilize the entry within 3 months, their entry will no longer be valid nor refunded.
Substitutions are permissible. Please email details to bookings@wildafricaexperiences.co.za including order number / name / surname / email address & emergency contact of substitute runner.
