Exclusive Trail Running in a Private Game Reserve. Limited to 300 entries

10km – R270 pp
5km – R250 pp
5km – Children under 12 years – R150 pp
Entry Includes: Finisher Medal (a branded glass followed by a complimentary fill after the trail), chill zone, great facilities of the Lion and Safari Park, live music, fully stocked waterpoints, exclusive access to well-marked trails, trail fees, game rangers on route, medical support, restaurant onsite and a true Wild African Experience!

Registration: 60 minutes prior to batch start beginning from 05:30am (First briefing at 06h20 sharp)
Lucky Draw: As our ethos is around Experiences, we don’t do prizes for placings however a lucky draw with some great prizes will take place after the run so everyone has a chance!
Timing: Runners are required to record their individual time using their own devices if desired. Timings will be published on our website a few days after the run for those who might wish to submit these to medical aid. Once you cross the finish line, please do submit your wrist band with your timing into the bowl for our virtual lucky draw.
General Information Venue:
Mountain View, a property adjacent to Lion and Safari park, offers new and exciting trails. In true Wild Africa Experiences style, there is lots to see and experience, with abundant wildlife, fences have been dropped with Lion and Safari Park. The views of the Johannesburg skyline are amazing, so if you are looking for adventure, something new – this venue has a lot to offer.
Some of the interesting landmarks you will be passing are, Discover Pumba Pools, Zebra Plains, Ostrich Run, Eland Cove, Lionsgate, Outlook Koppie.
Route – as there are no extreme climbs or immensely difficult terrain, Wild Africa Experiences have rated the route a 3.5/5 for the 5km & 10km & a 3/5 for the 15km (5 being the most difficult).
Participants will receive a branded glass as your medal at the finish line with a well-deserved complimentary fill on us (only for runners 18 or older). There will also be a hearty runners buffet breakfast option at Lion and Safari Park after the event for those who wish to enjoy a relaxed morning in the country.

*** Due to the nature of the venue & game rangers on site, there is a strict 2h30 hour cut off from batch one, ie 10h00. If we feel any runners might not make it, we may need to reroute you.

Social distancing rules will apply at the water points as well as relevant covid protocols applicable at the time
Walking / hiking is allowed on the 5km route
Cut off time is 02h30 hours from first batch
Water points will be available at several points on the run

There will be No Refunds due to rain or lightning cancellation
No licence is necessary to take part in the run
All athletes participate at their own risk

Late entries on the day will be charged an additional R30 per person
Your safety is our number one concern. Whilst so much has changed, some things will thankfully still stay the same. We will continue with our exclusive & intimate trail runs in some hidden away valley and runners can be rest assured that your safety remains our absolute priority. Extensive COVID protocols have been implemented for the safety of both runners and staff alike. The number of runners will be limited (as per our norm) but face masks, sanitizers and distance controls may be enforced if necessary at the time of the run
Withdrawal, Substitutions, Roll-overs:
All entry fees for the Event are non-refundable / non-transferable under all circumstances permitted by law, including, but not limited to, cancellation of the Event for any reason including withdrawal of your participation in the Event, or change in the date, nature, or format of the Event.
7 days and more prior to the event, refunds or roll-overs are permissible at the sole discretion of the organizer and based on medical grounds only. For refunds, an administration fee of 25% will be applicable. Alternatively, roll overs are valid for a maximum of 3 months with a maximum of one date change. If the participant does not, for any reason utilize the entry within 3 months, their entry will no longer be valid nor refunded.
0-6 days prior to the event, NO refunds or roll-overs are allowed, however substitutions are permissible at any time leading up to the event. Kindly ensure you email us on explore@wildafricaexperiences.co.za in order to assist further.
You acknowledge that the Event may be cancelled or changed due to government directives, severe weather or any other factors that may be considered to threaten the safety of participants as determined by the Event organiser in its sole discretion. We have always strived to deliver on each & every event but due to the nature of our activities, some natural elements are out of our hands. Unfortunately, there is a no refund policy on bookings due to rain or lightening cancellation caused on the day. The Event organiser further reserves the right to refuse any entry or cancel any entry to the Event.
