Route:
There are 4 different races discovering an area of great natural beauty around the Serra de Bocaina National Park which spans over 100,000 hectares, a vast area of protected Atlantic rainforest. Its varied landscapes range from the coastal beaches around Paraty to the mountains inland. Please note this is a UTMB World Series Event which gives everyone the possibility to meet their extraordinary so both runners & supporters are invited to discover a little piece of this paradise…
A 7 night Package available from R30,000 per person sharing. Includes 4 nights in Paraty with an extension to Rio de Janeiro for an additional 3 nights, more details below;

- Long-haul flights South Africa to Sao Paulo. We have excluded flights as participants may wish to do their own pre/post arrangements
- One short internal flight required from Rio to Sao Paulo

- Items of a personal nature & any items not mentioned / included in the itinerary will be for your own account such as spa, laundry, drinks, additional meals, additional excursions
- If you are travelling solo & prefer to share a room, we will do our utmost to find a suitable sharing candidate. Alternatively, single supplement charges are available on request
General Information Paraty:
Paraty founded in 1597, is a preserved Portuguese colonial & Brazilian imperial town located on the Costa Verde (Green Coast), a lush green corridor that runs along the coastline of the state of Rio de Janeiro. The town is located on the Bay of Ilha Grande which is dotted with several tropical islands & world-class beaches. Rising as high as 1300 metres behind the town lie tropical forests, mountains, lagoons, waterfalls & a stunning amount of biodiversity all on its doorstop. Paraty has become known for its historic town centre with cobblestone-paved streets & now falls under the UNESCO World Heritage List. The name “Paraty” meaning “River of Fish” originates from the local Guaiana Indians indigenous Tupi language named for the abundant local fish native to the region
About Us:
Over the past few years, we’ve explored a few runs in various places around the world including the London Marathon, the Artic Marathon and in 2023 the Epic Cappadocia Trail in Turkey which we loved way more than any mainstream city could ever offer us. This led us on a quest to find an equally fabulous, but completely different Experience for 2024 and we quickly settled on Paraty, Brazil!
Each year we open this up to a small group of like-minded runners (about 20 participants / 10 rooms in total) & for those who know us well, it’s not about the hardened athlete but all about the journey so we’ve created an itinerary which we believe will allow you to experience a little bit of everything but also the freedom to travel at your own pace. There are distances and challenges for everyone so we hope you can join us on our epic adventure! Please note we are also always on the lookout for those who may be running solo and who might be looking for another single sharing running partner of the same gender so let us know and we’ll also try our best to find a second.
We’ve based the above itinerary on our personal travel schedule and we do this as a small group to simply have fun & support one another Internationally. If you wish to arrive earlier or depart later, we are more than happy to assist where we can.

All prices are indicative & are subject to change without prior notice due to currency fluctuations. Costs are based on the current rate of exchange. Should the ROE differ at time of final confirmation and full payment, the package price may be adjusted accordingly. In order to secure a place, we will ask that a 25% non refundable deposit be made to secure accommodation & race entries. Note : Booking changes and cancellation conditions are applicable.
